Barnyard Bash!

Cairn and Bekah had a farm
Ee-I-Ee-I-Oh!
And on that farm they had a
Super Fantabulous Cake!!!!

We love this cake!!  I found the template in a Family Fun magazine while sitting at a doctor's office nine months ago and determined immediately to do it for their birthday party.  See if you can pick out the Elvis impersonating cow.  He's my favorite.

The 2nd annual Cairn and Bekah combined birthday party was this morning at Brandi Fenton Memorial Park.  Luckily there've been some good storms the past few evenings and cloud cover this morning so it wasn't as hot as it could have been.  That's not saying it was cool, but that's why we have it at a park with a splash-pad.

As kids wandered back to the ramada we had a craft for them.  They got to make their own farmyard.

Cairn colored everywhere in her farmyard, except the white animals that she pasted on.
Michael had the best one today.  to the right of the barn was an erupting volcano, to the left was a tornado.  And in the loft of the barn was a chicken that could make a forcefield to save everyone in the barn.  Love it!

After lunch and cake we opened presents:

I love the bow Bekah got!
Cairn found the crayons from Wynter, one of her library buddies and couldn't move past them because she was soooo excited for them!

I love that Cairn chewed on this for a while before accepting help.  My girl and her mouth...

After cleaning up we were about to pile into the car when she decided to play in the water some more.  And for the first time she actually played in the water!  Usually she runs around the water and splashes in the puddles, but Grant reported that she went through the spraying rings and played with the fountains shooting up from the ground and everything!

Princess for the day

Liz bought tiaras for the birthday girls.  Rebekah wore hers for a while, but Cairn refused the whole time we were at the park, so I wore it.  When we got home she took it back, put it on herself and asked for a picture.
