Rain

Just a quick note tonight...

Cairn wasn't feeling great today -- just a little sluggish.  So when I lay down for a quick nap she did too (at 4 o'clock so I was sure she wouldn't go to sleep at bedtime, but she did!).  A few moments after I fell asleep I awoke with a start because I heard rain coming down hard.

I jumped up, jostled her a little and ran outside with Cerise and Grant following in my wake.  After the initial rain dance frenzy I tried waking her again to come play in the rain...  Yes, sleep is good but afternoon monsoons are better.

Well she stayed asleep until after dinner.... and Grant is going to take over from here because she is awake again and wanting 'Mommy Nuggles.'

Cairn awoke with a hurt toe, apparently from having chewed the nail to a nub. She didn't wear shoes as we went to temple recommend interviews. I passed, even though Carrie reccomended that I be excommunicated (she didn't even tell me why...). And when we got out it was raining.

Suddenly, miraculously, Cairn's toe didn't hurt anymore, and she and Carrie went dancing in the rain with Cerise and I trailing behind. After they had a good run around the Church building, Cairn stopped, looked up, and said, "Thank you Heavenly Father!"

What a sweetie.
