I was sewing rags and Cairn wanted to help. Ok, by sewing I mean that I was pinning fronts to backs to get ready to sew but didn’t get to actually sew them for another few days (read week).
Being the indulgent parent that I am (read cruel taskmaster on the prowl for more talented minions) I gave her one of the sets to pin together.
I must say I am very impressed with her first time pinning!
But that was short lived. She pinned one side well enough that it wasn’t going to shift any where then shifted her attention to the pins themselves. At first it was “No Mom! I want to use the yellow one!” but it swiftly changed to “Look Mom! I’m making a pattern! See? Blue, yellow, green!” Then with very little coaching she continued her pattern:
