Cerise is the lady bug. Patti and Cammy found it on super clearance last year after Halloween. Cairn was crushed to find out she was too big to play in it this year like she did last year!
Cairn is Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. If you’re not up to date, she’s the pink preschool aged fairy. This costume is a conglomerate of dress up things we already had on hand and hand-me-down scrap fabric from my grandma. Totally cute. When I get to Halloween pictures we’ll post pictures comparing Cairn to the muppet!
And now the second story…
We had homemade pizza for dinner not too long ago. The girls love to help spread the toppings around. Well, spread is a liberal word choice. Cerise makes piles of cheese right in front of her and Cairn makes faces and pictures with everything. Anyways, we sprinkled parmesan over the whole of the pizza, popped it in the oven and started clean up. As I finished wiping the table I peeked under to see what the girls were up to under there (it being among their favorite places to hide when they don’t want to get caught immediately). Apparently the parmesan never made it back to the refrigerator… At least Cairn was sharing with Cerise though!
