Wow, February mowed us down in every way possible!
Cairn and I are just now getting over the colds that made all three of us miserable and unfunctional for the better part of February. I hope we're home free for the rest of the cold season.
On top of that was homework... and more homework... and then a little bit more. Of all the hard classes I've taken this is the worst. Regardless of only needing a D to graduate (yeah, I've set a high goal...) I've actually been so distraught over the assignments that I've wanted to throw in the towel. On my last assignment the easiest problem only took an hour and a half. The hardest took close to 9 hours. Despite asking for help and all of my time and effort I still only got an 81%. I'm worried about the midterm that's coming up this Thursday.
Of course Grant had his typical workload... but I really can't say much since he always has a lot of homework but still finds time to play his video games to unwind at the end of the day.
In the midst of the homework-cold crisis one of our babysitters... disappeared. She stopped answering her phone and when we've swung by to check on her she hasn't been home. We suspect that she eloped with the guy she's been seeing. Or (much less romantically) ran out of minutes on her phone and has just been running errands when we've gone over.
The pregnancy is going well. I'd been craving Raisin Bran all pregnancy, but 2 weeks before my most recent blood screening we ran out and were too busy to get more. With that being the only change in diet my iron level dropped just enough that I got a call from one of the midwifes telling me to eat more iron rich foods. We got more cereal.
Cairn's vocabulary is booming and she uses full sentences when she can like "I want outside please" or "I want this please." My favorite was when she came running up to me with her baby doll and blurted out "I'm a mommy." But then again right now all girls are "mommies" and all boys are "daddies"... and all colors are "ellow" so not all words are quite appropriately assigned.
We're all getting geared up for Spring Break. We're planning on a trip to the temple, going to Tucson's festival of books, camping with some friends in the Chiricahuas and of course celebrating Glenn's (and remotely Nathan's) birthdays. But more on all that as it happens.
