Friday:
Grant had 11 interviews (we've already heard back from two in the negative). I had the girls and prep for 3 weekend events... so we went shopping and shopping with 3 under 3 is always an adventure!
That evening we hosted a game night with a bunch of our friends... my dragonborn / eladrin 12 year old went off with a bunch of orcs. But that's ok because another of the group got turned into a vampire by a brain in a jar.... fun stuff there!
Saturday:
I hosted Joyce Wasson's baby shower. She's finally having a little girl (after four rambunctious boys) so it was oozing with girliness.
Cairn helped make the castle and couldn't bear to leave it with Joyce so we asked nicely and the castle now hangs on our girl's wall. Cairn has decided that she likes "princesses and pink and yellow."
Isn't this a pretty spread?
Joseph's toys meet girls' toys

And the girliness triumphed.
This is Rylynn's home-coming outfit since she's due on St. Patricks day.
That evening we had the Elders Quorum homemade pizza party... so we got to make our yummy stuffed crust barbeque chicken and pineapple pizza yum!
And then the week just kept going. Girls were clingy or misbehaving and never in between (or so it seems though I'm sure they were good more often than I remember)
And then Thursday came and I was sure we were going to have a good day because we were going to the zoo with some friends. And a calm day is just what I needed, but didn't get.
We had some tall shelves in the girls' room next to the door. Well it just so happened that Cerise went in to play and Cairn went in to change and Rebekah wanted to go in also. But Cairn (having been told she couldn't go in to my room while Grant was getting dressed) stood at the door, leaning on the shelves telling Rebekah she couldn't come in.
I looked up from breakfast and saw the stuff on top begin to sway so I got up to tell Cairn she was pushing on the shelves too hard. Before I could take a step in the direction the door was pushed wide open and the shelves were down. I don't know how, but the whole unit just collapsed. It didn't fall forward onto Cerise and it didn't fall to the side onto Cairn, it crumpled in on itself and everything fell straight down making one huge mound of mess.
So we scratched our zoo trip to go thrift store hopping until we found some short, stable shelves to undo the mess... and our day was gone. But the new shelves only cost $7 and a good scrubbing!
And then the end of the week came yesterday with a trip to the temple. Our friends Iris and Scott Lewis moved in right next to it and they watched Cairn and Cerise for us. Iris even took them for a walk to see the temple and visitor's center so Cairn feels like she went to the temple too.
Now since I rambled for so long, here are some pictures of the girls:
I love this sequence. In the first picture they were wrestling, then they knew they were caught by the flash and Cairn insisted on posing with Cerise for a real picture.
