Colors!

So I randomly came across melted crayon art and was astonished that people were able to sell it.  But I also loved the bold, colorful look and thought it would be a perfect project to talk about colors, color mixtures, the rainbow and art styles!  And so we did it.

School today was at Walmart.  We found the colors and arranged them by pack (because they had the small color family packs) to make a spectrum.  We wandered the store on an alphabet scavenger hunt.  At the letter Qq I finally convinced Cairn that it wasn't cheating to find letters in middle of a word.  We read stories in the book section.  We did everything we would have done at home... but in Walmart.  Not ghetto at all (because we didn't set up the tent in the sporting section).

Back at home we dumped out the crayons, sorted them and began blow drying them.  I ended out hot gluing them in place, so please remember to do that first if you replicate this.

I love the finished product and can't wait to hang it!
