Hey all, Grant here, writing this week's update. Carrie's Mom came over last week Saturday night/Sunday morning, and we took a bunch of family pictures:

All the kids love the bike wheel swing Carrie made. |

Gauge's expression: "See what I have to deal with?" |

I think they're checking to see whether it's ripe yet or not... |
This Saturday was also crazy busy, in a good way. Friday I spent two hours helping the young men find constellations and major stars for the Astronomy Merit Badge, and took the plunge to sign up to be a merit badge counselor for my first merit badge.
The next morning, Carrie woke me up at 5am to go to the earliest temple session. After taking the babysitter home we tried to go up the mountain, but had low tire pressure because our babysitter lived down about a mile of dirt road. By the time we turned around and got home, everyone was asleep.
We finally got back out of the house close to 3pm to start airing up the tires and going up the mountain. Nevertheless, we managed to find a place to take the kids on a short hike, and play Eagle Eye (a version of hide-and-go seek where the "hiders" are required to hide somewhere they can see the person who is "it", and the person who is "it" is not allowed to move).

Cerise found an awesome walking stick early in the hike. |
 |
Gauge also found a walking stick he thought was just the right size. |

Don't they look like they're having fun? |

Gauge looks like he's having fun! |
Love these sweet pictures! The bike rim swing is awesome, Carrie! Gigi looks like she had a wonderful time!
