We were at Sprouts. The children love the piles of produce and bins of bulk goods. This particular trip they fixated on the Butternut Squash. I get so tired of saying "No" when they ask for ice cream and treats every trip (even if we have Eegees at home) that I gladly said yes to a few out of season squash! At home we did what we always do with these lovely gourds: Colored them with permanent markers and carried around 'Squash Babies' for the rest of the day. Well, another day passed and there was a fight that ended in flying squash. Since it cracked I knew what was going to be for dinner! And then we opened it all the way... Squash Baby was a Mommy.
On the back is Baby John. He's afraid of Aster. She's too up-in-your-face, poking-your-eyes for his tastes. On the front is Aster, Jealous of Baby John in her carrier, on her mommy. In the middle is Super Mom trading babysitting to be able to go on more dates with her favorite person.
But after that shot, the camera was accessible to children... Here are two of the fifty they took.
