Cairn is amazing

So a couple of weeks ago we went to the annual Reid Park family day, which is when they open the pool and zoo free to the public, make the train free, and have a bunch of other booths set up for general family fun.

Because we already have a zoo pass, most of this was boring waiting in line for the kids to play games, but I have a couple of pictures and comments worth sharing. First and foremost, Cairn claimed the rock wall all by herself. From the 30 or so kids I watched make the attempt (that's about the size of the line) only  one other kid rang the bell at the top of the tower. Carin made it. (It almost wasn't fair. She was of the build where she could make use of the fake holes between rocks as well as the actual official handholds).

As close to actual proof as I got that Cairn rang the bell.

Also, Guage earned his dragon facepaint. They botched it 3 times and then had to get the boss of the tent re-do it by hand. He was perfectly behaved the whole time, so I snapped this as soon as they were done so he could see how it looked.

Cairn and Cerise also  got very much into a short free martial arts class at the fair. I was so proud.
